Does Aloe Vera helps to stop pain in menses?

Hi,i have very strange problem, during periods spotting occurs for first two days and on third day proper bleeding starts, I m very bothered about it and it pains a lot. My friend told me about the Aloe Vera home remedy for normal menses. But I am not sure will it work… anyone of you have any experience. Plzz tell me..
