Does Aloe Vera works on incision?

I am 8 days post-op and I had my staples pulled out this morning. I feel ok but my wounds are really paining still. I have read about the Aloe Vera juice that it helps in incision. But confused should I try it or not anyone of you have any experience here…plz tell me so, that I should take a decision whether I should go for it.
