Does Aloevera helps to heal cold sores?

Hi, I have problem regarding the cold sores. Every year cold sores appear around my mouth and on the lips. It is very itchy and makes me discomfort. Due to itchy problem my skin becomes red and starts swelling. And when it dries forms a thin yellowish scab. My Friend has suggested me to use Aloevera gel and lotion. Can anyone suggest me is Aloevera helps to heal cold sores.

watson 		Hi there is no need to worry about the cold sores as it generally takes ten days to go on its own without any treatments. It is a viral infection known as herpes simplex which generally caused due to infections, over exposure to sunlight, fever, stress, hormonal changes etc. Cold sores are the result of a compromised immune system. Actually there is no real cure for a cold sore. It is same like cold and flu. You can only do precautions and use some remedies to heal this problem. You can use Aloevera gel on your face and skin that will help you to give relief from itchy problem and gives you soothing effect to your skin. You can use topical creams like Aloevera gel on your lips and face which will heal your cold sores quickly and prevent them from coming. You can take vitamin C and L-Lysine supplements in your food which will help to reduce the cold sores.
