How can we use aloe vera that helps to treat and prevent arthritis?

I am 40 years old and have got arthritis problem. My weight is also around 85 pounds. Sometime it gives so much pain that I cannot afford. I have consulted to my doctor and he has prescribed me lots of medicine. I want to know is there any other herbal medicine which provides relief from pain. I have heard about aloe vera which is very effective medicine for many diseases. So if anyone knows how to use aloe vera to prevent and treat arthritis then please let me know.
