Is Aloevera proven to help with sun burn?

I usually go to the beaches and because of that I have got sun burn on my skin. My skin becomes red and makes me discomfort when I wear my cloths. I want to get rid of this. Can anyone suggest me about Aloevera and how it is effective in treating sun burn? Which Aloevera product will be more effective in healing sun burns? Please suggest.
